Molson Coors adds new bottling line in Canada

Published 29 June 2012

Molson Coors Brewery has unveiled a new bottling line in Toronto named Acrobat with an investment of $13.5m, for handling various bottle shapes.

The new facility would enable the production of the Widemouth 100% recyclable aluminum bottles for Molson Coors' brands like Molson Canadian, Coors Light and Coors Light Iced T.

According to the firm, the bottles are completely re-sealable and the flexibility of the line lies in the ability to work with and package different container shapes and makes.

Acrobat line set-up comes after several investments made by Molson Coors that included those of massive fermentation tanks in early 2011.

Ontario minister of economic development and innovation Brad Duguid lauded Molson Coors Canada's commitment to offer products with new manufacturing capabilities in Toronto.
