After months of voting, we?d like to announce the grand prize winner of our photo contest. Congratulations to Tim Gibson! His photo ?Entry,? won last August's Road Trip contest and went on to gather the most votes from our community for the 2011 Grand Prize (July-December). Thanks to prize sposor South African Airways and its hotel partners, Tim is heading to South Africa for a week-long stay at the?Cape Royale Luxury Hotel and Residence in Cape Town, and Earth Lodge, a Sabi Sabi Lodge in Kruger National Park. Well-deserved!
Tim, pictured above hiking the Kepler Track on the south island of New Zealand, is an avid traveler who used to work for Johnson & Johnson?in finance. He left to pursue a job in the creative industry and now lives and freelances in New York. With our community's positive response to his photography talent, it seems like his hard work is paying off.
"For those who voted, thank you so much - I am deeply dedicated to my work and am happy to share it," shared Tim. "It's been a dream of mine to travel to South Africa and I'm so excited to have the opportunity to explore it."
