The Launch48 event for potential startups to get together and each build a completely new online or app business in just 48 hours is back in London this weekend, with space for 100 budding entrepreneurs to take part in the intensive caffeine-fuelled event, at University College London ? kicking off on the evening of Friday October 19.

As well as knuckling down to some serious coding during the event ? and consuming plenty of pizza and beer ? participants can expect advice and support from a team of mentors ? including?serial entrepreneur Hugh Chappell,?investment specialist Matthew Stafford from Pembridge Partnership Limited and user experience guru Karl Sayor.

The last Launch48 event held in London took place in February. Since then the event has been acquired by the Birmingham-based?Mark Hales-owned Oxygen Accelerator, with Hales taking the role of Launch48 programme director.

?The weekend is designed to provide maximum business support for innovative ideas. During an intensive 48 hours attendees will collaborate and work to materialise their ideas into a functional business,? Hales noted in a statement.??The programme also attracts accelerators and angel investors, who are always on the lookout for the next stellar business idea.?

Tickets to attend the event can be bought via?www.launch48.com.?The event runs over three days, kicking off at 18:00 (BST) on Friday 19 October to 21:00 (BST) on Sunday October 21.

Startup ideas to emerge from previous Launch48 events include Matchfounders.com, Commutably and Buqoo.

Launch48 is to bring together participants from different backgrounds and levels of experience in the web industry to think/plan/develop and launch one or multiple web apps in one weekend. That?s right, in 48 hours! It?s a frantic, energy fuelled, entrepreneurial event designed to engage all participants while offering the opportunity to learn and meet new people.
